The tradition continued into Take a Hike’s ® 11th Season! We welcomed hundreds of attendees and encouraged them to learn more about the history and people behind Cleveland iconic architecture.
In the fall we added a new tour, Early Cleveland, and introduced a new character: George Worthington, a 19th-century Warehouse District entrepreneur and leading industrial hardware distributor whose former warehouse complex has been recently adapted into apartments.
Walk & Dine: Annual Fundraising Event
Each year we invite you to experience downtown living in Cleveland’s historic Gateway District at our annual Walk & Dine, a culinary and residential guided exploration of the neighborhood. The event encourages attendees to step inside actual residences while enjoying a line-up of tastings from the District’s celebrated restaurant scene.
Funds raised support the Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation’s (HGNC) mission to promote the continuing re-development of this unique district in downtown Cleveland into a vibrant commercial, entertainment, and residential neighborhood.

Vintage Santa Display: Santas of the World
When the National City Bank building at 623 Euclid Ave (now the Marble Room) was being restored and renovated, 14 vintage holiday dolls that decorated the marble interior during the Holiday Season were discovered.
The display, named “Santas of the Word”, represents holiday cultural traditions from around the globe. They are currently on display in the windows at Residences at 668, formerly Taylor's department store (one of the original big six department stores in downtown Cleveland).
